When consulting individuals on choosing a domain name, I usually have three suggestions:

  1. Keep it short
  2. Make it easy to spell, and
  3. Make it easy to remember

These suggestions make it easy for potential visitors, and it’s better for internet marketing initiatives. Well, this domain name defies all the suggested guidelines. It isn’t short, it isn’t easy to spell and it isn’t easy to remember…it’s just a mess of C’s and O’s and M’s and N’s. But it’s my name, and I’m sticking to it.

Welcome

I always feel the need to start a blog with something timeless, prophetic or epic. It just seems like a good idea, you know? What if I become famous? I’d hate for my first post to be as lame as my senior yearbook quote.

Alright, I’ll go with prophetic.

Here it is folks: In under six months I’ll own the number one result in a Google search for my name. Enjoy it while it lasts Mr. Tom McConnon of the Texas Financial Group! Mr. 4th listing on the Rise Network board of directors! It won’t be long till I brand this name and emerge from the darkness of Google obscurity forever.
